TRIANGLE LAKE, Ore. - A girl was pulled from Triangle Lake and taken to the hospital by helicopter after she fell off a toy being towed behind a boat Saturday afternoon.
According to the Lane County Sheriff's Office, a group of kids on a church outing from the Salem area were being towed behind a 20-foot boat. One of the kids fell off the toy they were being towed on.
Paramedics pulled her out of the water, and an air ambulance rushed her to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend because medics were unsure of the severity of her injuries.
The sheriff said the girl complained of back and leg pain but that the injuries were not life-threatening.
All of the kids involved were wearing life jackets, the sheriff said.
